Job Description
Provide direction, authority as appropriate, insight, guidance and training for line of business responsibilities. Play lead role to drive line of business results through file consultation with coverage, litigation or high exposure claims, complex file handling, quality audits, data analytics and assigned projects. Accountable for line of business results, assigned files and direction of department claim handling guidelines.
Drive line of business performance using data to assess needs, opportunities, issues and trends.

Provide consultative technical and authority guidance to file handlers, provide thought leadership on file risks and direction including jurisdictional, statutory, regulatory and technical expertise.

Provide direct and or second level quality audits to ensure compliance with company objectives, guidelines, regulatory and statutory compliance.

Participate and partner in assigned projects that drive line of business results. Provide clear updates on loss costs initiatives. Identify and develop action plans to improve results through training and guidelines.

Develop and deliver training as needed based on findings from data, file audits or guideline changes.
Required Qualifications
5 to 7 years claim handling experience

Bachelors Degree required

Complex problem solving ability

Critical thinking

Experience with Quality Audit

Strong negotiations skills

Ability to collaborate

Communicates clearly and concisely

Creative and decisive decision making skills

Strong understanding of legal principles when dealing with complex and litigated matters
Preferred Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD)/Masters Degree Preferred

Major insurance designation (CPCU)
